>>129290487I've never listened to it. I've downloaded it when it came out and still have it in my music library, but I just presumed it sounded like Heaven and Hell - The Devil You Know. Slow and mostly boring. I just listen to great Black Sabbath albums instead like Headless Cross or Forbidden.

>>129290487It is generic sabbath riffs and what you expect but sabbath are so good that they managed to make those slop generic riffs not sound derivative or absolute crap. I would much rather listen to 13 than the material they made for decades that was pure hot garbage and most of what is coming out right now. C+

Their job and career is to make good content. We as listeners decide for ourselves if the music or output was good or not. 13 was middle of the road.

The Devil You Know would have been a Black Sabbath release if it was not for Shozzy threatening lolsuits at the time and then carrying through with suing Iommi anyway even after the name change just because they got mad the album still managed to do so well at the time.
