If you spend $400 on an iPhone you get a very capable machine with 128GB of storage space, 4GB ram, a processor that rivals some laptops, a nice screen and a nice camera.

If you spend the same amount on a sampler, you get a 64MB piece of shit with no display and the computational power of a Texas Instruments calculator from 1996.

Why are music tech companies so greedy?
>>
thanks for the advice, i'll definitely think about it the next time i have to decide between getting an iphone and a sampler
>>
Economy of scale and priority of hardware costs
Iphones have no physical buttons ie worse

you should get powerful enough Laptop and then pirate music editor programs and just use synth emulators. FOR FREE.
And a midi keyboard with 88 keys.

Anyone can get into music production. Not everyone can be good however.

because audiophiles are retarded as fuck and will spend hundreds or thousands just to make it sound a little better

you forgot to include the value of all of your personal information in the iphone price

>synth emulators
once you try a real analog synth you'll never go back. it's like a cheat code
