I can see how having a more zoomed out approach could be useful in the longer term. 7ish minutes is a good amount of time for difficult things, as the diminishing returns seem to kick in quickly. Shorter sessions but more often seems way more efficient. Like 3 sessions of five minutes spread throughout the day is better than 15 at once. So I split my practice into blocks with a list of items to work on.I'm curious about your 20-hr system. Please elaborate if you would, I love this kind of shit. It’s also nice to rip banjo rolls on guitar.This approach enables me to work from home and still get skills in procuring arthoes. In my youth, I tried the 8-hour-a-day regimen but diminishing returns for sure. I do miss drowning in sweat while transcribing “Rust in Peace”, but I found virtuosity starts to impose too many limits (on getting my dick sucked for starters).
