is this the most overhated urban metal album?
Metallica was just playing around They dun goofed on this one
It's actually fukkking great; I don't even care about the production. It's full of catchy songs like every single one of their albums. That's why they're the most popular metal band, because they kept it true while making bangers throughout.
>>129401358OOOooooOOOOOOOOoooo WHAT A GOOD BOY YOU ARE
Nah I normally like alt/Nu/groove Metal. I went into this with an open mind, but its just bad. The guys forgot how to write songs, Bob Rock didn't do his job, James and Kirk don't know how to make dropped guitars sound good, and James turned into a whiny bitch with a blown out voice
>I lived long enough to see people unironically defending St AngerFirst it was the Star Wars prequels and now this. What’s next? People are going to say Joker II was an unfairly maligned but brilliant movie in a decade?
>>129403157Nostalgia heals all wounds
>>129403572Things stopped being nostalgic over a decade ago.
>>129403620What?
>>129401358>urban metalWhat are some rural metal albums?
>>129403646What?

First two tallica songs I've heard were from this album. Made me a fan and I still love them. St anger has a bunch of shit to criticise but it also has some great songs on it.
>>129401358yeahAND I NEEDTO SET MY ANGER FREE
>>129401358Nah, it's fucking terrible
>>129401358It is a meme to hate on st anger but aside from being not good in quality it just fucking drags on like oh my god when the fuck is this song going to end? 8 minute songs can sound good and sound like 3 minutes, make you want to listen to them again, if they are done well, but every song is too long with not enough substance to even justify the length
>>129403157i already love and actively defend Joker II so you're too late fag
>>129408515Ponders the question about the existence of a dubstep metallica album.
>>129408545You'd be a fool to think Lars never noticed the popularity of EDM.
>>129408533That still just makes you one retard though
10/10 bassfags btfo
I enjoy a lot of the riffs on the album, but what the actual fuck where they thinking with the snare tone? I dont care if that's become a meme critique, it's genuinely awful.
>>129409107I don't understand how anyone couldn't be sympathetic to Jason in this situation. The rest of the band were acting like fucking babies They should have grown the fuck up I love this album but God They piss me off
>>129409316I love the trashcan. Muted snares never sound good in anything, you need to let it breathe somehow. It's not the cleanest sound but it is a living sound.
