Why did they kill him? What did he know?

He knew life was meaningless since he'd never feel as good as the first time the needle penetrated his vein. No matter how much you turn things around, you will never ever ever ever feel anywhere close to as well as you did that first time. Frankly a miracle he lasted so long, usually they give up much sooner.

He's the only celebrity death that genuinely made me sad. Even after all these years I get sad when I hear his music. Saw him live a few times over the years and he was just amazing with just an acoustic guitar or with a full band

Me too

At least with Kurt and Layne they were both beyond fucked on drugs and mentally gone but Chris always came off as very well put together. I know he had his share of drugs but he did damn well for himself with two major bands and had a loving family. To be honest he was the most shocking musician death I ever experienced

>Why did they kill him?
he got outshined.

Who's "they"? "They" didn't kill him, he killed himself

spoken like someone who's never taken heroin, at least not habitually. the first time is obviously nice but with no tolerance you cant do a big enough dose. once youre built tolerance you can do a chunk and remain conscious and really know what it can feel like. also on a psychological level, when you know you need it theres something unbelievably comforting and cocooning about being back in that soft embrace.

Chris was never a heroin addict dumbass even if he said he had it once or twice in the 90s the only recorded addictions he had were alcohol and his pain medications.

Chris actually has cobain-tier death conspiracy theories, there's of course the elites/his wife Vicky/music execs/dave grohl killed him along with chester bennington theory through his bodyguard or something, but on the other side Vicky claimed his doctor overprescribed him ativan which led him to go off the walls. Overall none of these theories are true because Chris Cornell really fucking wanted to play in detroit and therefore our only option is erotic choking accident.

>What did he know?
he was about to go public with the fact that he finally put all the pieces in place to prove kurt was murdered so he had to be eliminated
>>
It's all prefigured in his lyrics. Pretty Noose? It's certainly odd that he had such creative drive and a loving wife and kids, tons of friends, millions of fans, wealth, looks, height, lyrics, melodies, chords and still.
