i dont seek out band that are controversial and i usually avoid those that are really tryhard with their political motifs, mostly because almost all of them suck musically too(applies to both left and right wing ideologies but outspoken leftists are rare in scenes like BM anyway). but if i find a band that i enjoy listening to and find out that theyre not the best people when i do my research on them then i just deal with it. at most i dont support them financially like buy their music or merch
