Jam session was really good tonight with my drummer friend. We had a 2nd guitarist join us he said he had been playin a while but when we said "b minor" he didn't even know the scale. The girl guitarist had to show him where he could and couldn't play. I had considered him for our band that's supposed to play next year but I don't have much faith in him as of now. Hopefully he practices on his own to catch up. He couldn't really do much when we jammed. Unfortunately he froze up a few times and admitted he didn't know what to do. I'm on my 2nd year of bass but he's apparently been playing since grade school. I would rather not exclude someone because they're not good since I'm also beginner. The 2nd guitarist is also in another band that was supposed to be practicing today with my drummer friend. However the guy couldnt play his guitar part when it was time for them to jam so they didnt get any work done. Definitely don't wanna be a dick to this guy but it is very hard to play with people you have to partially teach at the same time.
