I don't know why chuds insist this is some St Anger tier disaster when it's not even that close to Cryptic Writings. It's certainly softer than Youthanasia, but Mustaine does know how to write good hooks. He would've been a great pop song writer. If anything, The World Needs a Hero is probably Megadeth's worst. It's basically him in his midlife crisis realizing he needed Viagra.

He's been struggling with his singing for the better part of 25 years now. And he can't tune down anymore. Go listen to the Countdown to Extinction live album he did in like 2015 or something. The anniversary one. Riffs become so muddy and ugly they're very difficult to listen to.
