HEY JEW
>>129444615The exact moment McCartney officially took over the band. John was already checked out and Paul just dropped a 7-minute anthem to comfort Julian. Is there any single more iconic than this?
>>129444615>>129444655>This is the moment Harry Styles took over One DirectionOld /mu/ would hate you fags for spamming your boy band bullshit all day long
>>129444615Let me get this straight. Paul wrote this song to John's son to comfort him when his parents were fighting. Yet the lyrics don't really seem to deal with that at all and are more about encouraging somebody to take a chance on young love. If somebody told me She's Leaving Home was a message to somebody's kid that life gets better then I'd believe you. And suppose this is some codes message, how would John's kid decipher that if John couldn't? Why even make the song with John's involvement? And if it is true isn't that actually kind of a shitty and subversively evil thing for Paul to do behind his friend's back? Something /pol/ might refer to as jewey. It doesn't seem like that's what the song is about so what the hell is the deal with this story about its meaning?
>>129444695:)
>>129444711It's clearly about Jews, but since The Beatles were all about love, they decided to show love and understanding to the most evil people in the history of humankind. As a way of saying that everyone deserves love, as said in the eastern religions they were so fond of.
>>129444711You're overthinking the 'message' while ignoring the songwriting process. It started as 'Hey Jules' to comfort Julian during the divorce, but Paul changed it to 'Jude' because it sounded better phonetically-Paul always prioritized melody and mouthfeel over literal storytelling.John himself actually thought the song was about HIM, or about Paul giving him permission to leave the band for Yoko ('You were made to go out and get her'). That's the genius of it: it's a universal Rorschach test for anyone stuck in a crossroads. Calling it 'subversive' is a reach; John loved the track and even told Paul not to change the 'the movement you need is on your shoulder' line because it was the best bit. It wasn't 'behind his back', it was a collaboration at its peak.
