Oldhag here. Once met Conor Oberst (Bright Eyes) at the top of his fame. I'd anticipated meeting him in the bar next to the venue he was playing at. He straight up asked me if I was a groupie, to which I said yeah, to which he said "frick yeah let's bang in my hotel room." Apparently his hotel room was a Toyota Camry and when he took his pants of there were visible skid marks. He then put an Of Montreal tape on (wtf) and he came in 20 seconds and turned the music off and cried afterwards saying he was more of a hugger, he then dropped me off at my friend's place.

And it worked pretty well. Anyway I find out couple years later that he died and was really Christian played at his church. I can't help wondering if my song of spiritual despair somehow contributed to his death in some sort of Gloomy Sunday sort of way.
