I listened to this album on 5g of shrooms, and it was by far the most intense experience I’ve ever had listening to music. It “inhabits the space around you” is really the only way to put it. Need more shit in the same vein.
>>129483569anything can be psychedelic when you're fucked up enough, even the fridge humming in the kitchen. This album is pretty dense even sober though.
Avril 14th is kino
listen come to daddyyou will be shocked
>>129483569its a good album, but you dont know what psychedelic even means.
>>129483636I think he's trying to point out albums that aren't technically considered "psychedelic" yet have that effect, which is fair. "Psychedelic rock" isn't actually all that trippy, it's mostly just poorly played spork crap lacking atmosphere and an artefact of it's time
>>129483706tell him he can look up "recommend me albums like drukqs" threads.
This was a fun experience on acid

>>129483569Why listen to drukqs on shrooms its a pretty more melancholic album compared to SAW or ICBYD is it not? and they're more ambiant/groovy/chill
>>129483804the vast majority of Aphex tracks have a very dark and desolate sound overall. there's a number of jolly meme tracks, but there's pervasive dark emotions emanating from most RDJ albums and EP's. you mention ICBYD, how chill ,ambient and groovy is it by track 4, 5, 6?
>>129483569>Need more shit in the same vein. Most obvious choices would be:>Squarepusher - Go Plastic>Autechre - Exai, Chiastic Slide or Tri Repetae>Boards of Canada - GeogaddiAll ^^ artists above are on the same label as aphex, make somewhat similar musicAlso: The Future Sound of London - Lifeforms, ISDN
