Her best work is the later M4L stuff though, I'm curious how much of songs like Instruction or the Animosity remix is through-composed with stuff like the gloopy free-rate arpeggiator modulation inputted in iteratively, vs. how much is performance-based input being recorded in real-time that we're hearing. Her live shows seemed to rely increasingly on some kind of workflow where she could control more aspects of the arrangement live than is usual for this kind of music, but the obscurantism and spectacle involved in the genre makes it unclear how much is still pre-programmed. In those shows, e.g. during the 30 minute Cum remix version, she clearly manipulates the tempo of song elements live using the knobs on the Push to dramatically drop tracks off into ambient soundscapes and then triggers some other elements of the composition over it with tempo variance that might be performance-based, but I don't know if their position in the arrangement is also altered during the performance or merely those elements' tracks on/off + the speed they play at once triggered. It's a shame it appears she didn't record her techniques or insights, or if so they're not being published.

It's probably more factors than just clout realistically but from official interviews it seems she was intelligent enough to understand the aspect in which identity is construct, was more interested in transgressing gender than "becoming a woman", & when she was alive journalists etc. were instructed to refer to SOPHIE by name instead of using she/her pronouns by her team
