He's a cracKKKer culture-vulture and a far-right chud he should've been cancelled years ago
>>
>>129584848
The most important thing to do when creating…

Is to not create…
>>
he's responsible for the only truly bad release Julian Casablancas ever made, that's impressive
>>
He's made so many slappers, revived so many careers. Can't wait until Metallica signs with him. He gave us Slayer and the Bestial Boys.
>>

This
>>
>>129584848
He's just aurafarming
>>
the "ruined production" is the fault of the audio engineer which he doesn't do.
>>
>>129585193
Just listen to the Guitar Hero version of Death Magnetic. So much better.

He actually created hip-hop. He made all LL Cool J's original beats. He was the first super producer.

the only thing he ruins is mastering too loud. {retty much all of his other production work is brilliant, and the haters are just MAGA trash /pol/ tourists sniveling about (((joooooooos)))

Wildflowers is, by a mile, the best Tom Petty record, and much of it has to do with RR's production.

>Let me give you the fucking truth of it. Rick Rubin showed up for 45 minutes a week. Rick Rubin would then, during that 45 minutes, lay on a couch, have a mic brought in next to his face so he wouldn't have to fucking move. I swear to God. And then he would be, like, 'Play it for me.' The engineer would play it. And he had shades on the whole time. Never mind the fact that there is no sun in the room it's all dark. You just look like an asshole at that point. And he would just stroke his huge beard and try and get as much food out of it as he could. And he would go, 'Play it again.' And then he'd be, like, 'Stop! Do that over.' And he had an assistant who was seven feet tall. He had that disease where you can't grow hair on your body, so he was just bald. He looked like Mr. Clean's neurotic cousin. But he basically ran Rick Rubin's life like, he was just fucking on it, on it, on it, on it. About half way through our precious 45 minutes, he would bring in this plate of shit. I assume it was food. It was bluish green. It smelled like someone had just plunged a fucking toilet somewhere. And he would eat it as fast as he could just get it in there, all over himself. Which is, when you're working, so wonderful to look at...

now post all the other people that rave about him and loved working with him

>>129584848
He produced Reign in Blood yet you’re saying he’s ruined production?

That was pre-loudness war era.
>>

>>
>>129593915
Did the loudness war kill good bass in music too? I've been doing my own music and realized I'd have to kill a lot of bass to up the perceived loudness. I'd rather have all those bass frequencies there though so I don't do it.
>>
None of the albums you say are bad by him are actually bad
>>
>>129584848
The Loudness War was greatly exaggerated. It was more like a single battle in the mid 90s and Loudness Won. Definitively. I don't know why Audiophaggots are still trying to push this narrative that there was ever a war. You Lost. Dynamic Range is forever forced into their borders of overpriced Audiophaggot vinyl and the Steve Hoffman forums.

>>129590571
i do this
>>
>>129584848
At first my thoughts were he just sleeps and snacks then ruins your album in a few mins and leaves, but now that i'm older and "wiser" what he does is he taps into archetypes and rearranges tracks so they resonate with the collective conscious more

He understands Kabballah and he'll go into certain states to get inspiration and align the music with what the higher realms are calling for
A lot of artists claim to get their ideas from the divine, we don't create original thoughts but were a medium for ideas to express themselves
Kendrick and keem tap into this a bit too "these bars come from god you could never out rap us" and Kendricks whole prophet shtick

>>
>>129589373
Honestly I don't like the guitar tone. It's pretty flat which is funny bc the other 3 produced by rubin sound great
>>
>>129584848
Usually the songs are good on the albums he makes. The only album I’ve heard that he worked on that sounded halfway decent was stadium arcadium, and I know many others disagree with that. With all the shit that gets remastered these days, I don’t get why stuff like Californication or De-Loused doesn’t get fixed
>>
Just about anyone who's worked with RR have something bad to say about him...
>>
But he doesn't mix or engineer shit
>>
>>129594275
It's partly to blame, because human hearing isn't very sensitive to bass. If you remove bass you have more space for frequencies that sound louder. Other thing to blame is mixing for small speakers that can't play bass.
