Which of these "services" do you use to ensure that yet another vast megacorp reams out your shitter on the daily?
>>129633375own muic.
>>129633375none of them?
>>129633375Spotify. $12 a month is absolutely meaningless to my financial situation. Almost everything I want is on there. If it's not (and I listen to that artist/album regularly), I add it to the local files so I can also listen via Spotify. The thing that keeps me on there is great playlists. There are some record labels like Numero Group that do a fantastic job curating relatively unknown (to me) music.Yeah, I could find all this on Bandcamp or something else, but it's much more seamless on Spotify. Can't speak on other services. As someone who spent years on blogspots to find new music, it's great.
what do we think of the plans for ads in spotify premium? I think its going too far, personally. apparently they're considering a two-tier subscription, lower tier gets you the usual premium features but with ads, then you'd have to pay an extra few bucks to keep it ad-free.
>>129633375You sound extremely poor
>>129633375>Spotify Best of the worst. They all such>Tidal Dogshit UI constantly forcing shitty self hosted garbage down your throat everywhere in the app. >DeezerDoesn't let you turn off autoplay which is absolutely retarded >Youtube Music, Amazon Music, Apple Music Why the fuck would you ever pay these corporations money like that on purpose? >Pandora Haven't used in 15 years. Are they still relevant?
I can't believe people are still hung up on "owning" stuff. In 2026. Those days are over. Rent a place to live. Lease a car. Subscribe to streaming services for all your media needs. Rent space in the cloud for computing and storage. You can still "buy" video games I guess but you shouldn't expect more than a temporary license to use the thing until the publisher decides to switch it off. Same goes for any productivity software you use. Expecting something permanent in return for money is sooo twentieth century.
>>129633375None. I'm a Bandcamp chad, and will forever remain pure.
I don't
>>129633569>you will own nothing and you'll be happyI cant believe the jews won over you
>>129633637Its not about the jews its about realistic vs unrealistic expectations. A one-off purchase without a recurring revenue stream doesn't provide adequate shareholder value.
>>129633375I pay for none of them but I use both a patched Youtube Music and Spotify premium, Spotify recently went about blocking any patch that gives free premium access but best available at the moment gives premium with muted ads
>>129633375I use one of those "YouTube to mp3" sites to download music from YT that I then load unto my phone.
>>129633375Soulseek
>>129633899google yt-dlp, zoomzoom
>>129634500Based. RETVRN TO TRADITION
>>129633375Youtube with an ad blocker and my humble vinyl collection.Audio quality is a bit ass on youtube but I can bear it.
>>129633375spotify, pandora, and amazon>>129633500I use ad blockers so I never see the ads anyway
>>129633519I use Amazon because they stream at 320kbps for $13 CAD vs Spotify's inexcusable 96kbps.
>>129633375Boxes full of dirt cheap thrifted CDs. They're practically giving them away.
>>129634585>I never see the ads anyway>see the ads>on audio streams
I use foobar2k to play my vast and immaculately curated library of local files entirely on my own terms and without restrictions, conditions or fees of any kind now and in perpetuity.
>>129633425>There are some record labels like Numero Group that do a fantastic job curating relatively unknown (to me) music.uh yeah by fuckin releasing it lol
>>129635114>he doesn't see soundsngmi
