When this album came out over a decade ago, I predicted that at some point hip-hop would only advance by embracing distortion and noise elements. Essentially reformatting itself into a harsher version of miami bass. Go figure, enough time passes and now people are at least semi-ironically listening to what is by all accounts Esplendor Geometrico with vocals. Time is a flat circle and the overdriven 808 is forever. Is 2Slimey good? No, not really, he's ultimately at the mercy of his producer. Then again you could say the same about any rapper.
