>>129666254What if the album isn’t supposed to have full dynamic range
>>129666254it really depends on the sort of music anon if it's the rock and rap slop that most people on here listen to the music never had much dynamic range to begin with so slapping a "full dynamic range" label on it means nothing.
>>129665111Name 1 (one) instance where a rerecording of an album was better.

>>129666432Intentional choices can still be poor choices. There's not much music that benefits from compressed/clipped production, besides harsh noise which is extremely distorted and compressed for its own sake (I would like to hear dynamic harsh noise though, just to hear if loud mastering is truly necessary).

We're considering rerecording our band's first and only album because in 2 years time we've just gotten so much tighter and better at playing. We did live-in-studio (except for the vocals) and the takes could be so much better.
