I've come to the conclusion that AI should be welcomed in music only because it can put an end to the hordes of people releasing the most mediocre cliche slop. If an AI can do what you do just as good or better, then you're not an artist. You're just rehashing the same shit ad nauseam and copying what others have already done. No different than the AI.The internet ruined music because it allowed every jackass out there to release their mediocre or horrible trash and nobody has the time to go through everything. So it's just piles of shit everywhere now with maybe some cool stuff buried in it.
>>129668579music is solved, we dont need any more. every genre has its classics and its more than enough for any one person to enjoy for an entire lifetime
>>129668579>because it can put an end to the hordes of people releasing the most mediocre cliche slop.? no it won't. what the fuck line of reasoning is this? only a faggoty 80 IQ jeet dumping his entire welfare check into AI credits would think like this. thread S&H. fuck off
>>129668655Incorrect. I've been bored of it all for over 10 years. You must be young. We should be creating new genres all the time. The problem is most people are too addicted to modern tech so there's little interest in creating or consuming new music.
>>129668705>no it won't. what the fuck line of reasoning is this?If AI music is accepted then it can produce endless generic trash for the masses that want that shit. So musicians who actually care about music enough to keep pursuing it will be forced to be more original and create something the AI cannot. Musicians will no longer be trying to write generic songs to be accepted for radio play because the AI already has that covered. This is not rocket science.
people like slop music, look at the spotify top 20.AI could write it all and the cattle wouldnt even notice as long as the pretty girl sings it.
>>129668806Exactly, I know. See >>129668779
>>129668735Theres nothing new to be made, the last completely new genre with a distinct sound that wasnt used anywhere else before was Dubstep/Brostep
>>129668919Not true at all. There is always a new combination of sounds and instruments to be made. And we don't need to invent completely new "genres" where everything sounds the same. Ideally people should be making music that doesn't really fit into any genre neatly. That's what new original music is. The problem with genres is once the genre is given a name it just spawns a million copycats and it ruins it. Most people these days just don't have the drive or attention span to actually create something new and original. Or they're too afraid to because they don't want to stand out.
>>129668579nice theoryin practice the slop would just exponentially grow because normies are attracted to the slop
>>129669264I don't see the problem. Let the normies have their slop and the rest of us can focus on original stuff.
>>129668579What makes it slop, just the opinion of some misanthropic incel? Maybe this "slop" was the persons sincere emotional expression maybe its about their mom. Music shouldn't be restricted to people who can pen 10/10. It should be for everyone who wants to put the effort in.AI has no reason to exist except to produce background music for buildings, that can change to a fast pace if people are walking fast and change songs depending on what people are talking about or vibration inside. That shit would be cool.
>>129669471>Maybe this "slop" was the persons sincere emotional expression maybe its about their mom.If the style is rehashing the same style that's been done by a million other "artists" then it's not sincere. Everyone's mom dies and nobody gives a shit about yours retard. What matters is the style being unique to you.I embrace AI in music so all the mediocre shit artists out there can constantly be confronted with: "but is this AI music"?Sorry you're just another unoriginal hack.
>>129668980You need to start off as a copycat before you can become an original. Otherwise, it's like trying to build a house on sand.
yeah music has been dead for years so AI isn't really affecting it that much. it's like if you were already 3 thousand leagues under the sea in a sinking ship and some machine came and drilled a ton more holes in the ship
>>129669612>You need to start off as a copycat before you can become an original.Yeah there's nothing wrong with that. Just don't try to release your music until it's original. We don't need generic copycat artist #7,742,343.
>>129669678>yeah music has been dead for years so AI isn't really affecting it that muchYup. It's just normies screeching about AI music because it does what they do better.
>>129668579yeah I agree. That is also why normies are so scared of it, because their taste is so terrible that they can't tell the difference.
>>129668655Agree also. I listen to music all day and will never run out of discographies from the album era.
>>129668579you're partly right but I won't bother to elaboratehttps://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Pov0MKuyJfg
