why is rateyourmusic full of so many snobs compared to other music communities
>>129669516Because the original userbase came from here
>>129669516being a snob is good, we've had 15 years of poptimism now, pretentious snobs pretending that pop trash is actually good./mu/core came from being snobby
>>129669516snob site
>>129669548But at the same time if you looked at the rym charts youd think the only good releases of this decade came from metal. As off as it is to say, i feel like every genre on rym is snobby except metal.
>>129669566still preferable to a site full of brainrotted tiktok kids like aoty
>>129669516RateYourMusic was the original Letterboxd
>>129669516I would have expected the rating on RYM to be way lower for this album. 3.61 is not bad. And considering Lamb of God haven't been good for decades its actually pretty impressive.
Snobs? 3.61 is pretty good, especially for a band past their prime.

>>129669548>pretentious snobs pretending that pop trash is actually goodHave you even bern on RateYourTroonsic recently?
>>129669548>pretentious snobs pretending that pop trash is actually good.I'll never get this at all. That shitty cringe generic dance pop shit is garbage and I dont know why people who claim to like music would even bother with this
>>129669516rym has the most people by far voting on the score compared to other aggregates so it's difficult to get a universal high scoring. It's not a genre circlejerk website either so you get a lot of people that just don't like x genre rating albums from that genre cause they saw it on a chart or something. Also proportionally that's a pretty good score (it'd be a 7.2 on a 10 point scale)
Moviefags are far more pretentious
>>129669516There's no point using a rating site if you just give everything an 8+/10.
