This is my favorite album of all time
>>129760028I think you could do better if you applied yourself
>>129760028Then I call you my friend
Dude you should check out Imagine Dragons.
Love it or loathe it, Metallica going Double Diamond is an achievement held by no other Metal band.Neither Black Sabbath, Ozzy, Dio, Iron Maiden, Saxon, Mötley Crüe, Scorpions, Megadeth, Anthrax, Slayer nor any other leading Metal band came close. Metallica stands alone, and that's saying something.>inb4 Linkin Park, AC/DC, ZZ Top, Def Leppard, Kid Rock, Guns 'n Roses, Van HalenNone of those bands' albums that went Diamond are Metal. Def Leppard stopped being Metal after On Through the Night, and the rest are either Hard Rock, Hard Alternative or Nu-Metal (that's a misnomer; it's not Metal).Only one that isn't Metal is Nothing Else Matters. Others do have Hard Rock elements in fairness, but it's majority Metal. The following are entirely Metal with no Hard Rock elements: Enter Sandman, Sad but True, Holier Than Thou, Wherever I May Roam, Don't Tread on Me, Through the Never, Of Wolf and Man, The Struggle Within
>>129760028 K, still weird though. I prefer A7X to metallica, but you do you.
Best songs: The Unforgiven, My Friend of MiseryWorst song: Enter SandmanOverall a solid record with HUGE sounding production and some influence from the emerging groove metal scene (Sad But True, Don't Tread on Me).Its big weakness is that the songs are way too simple sometimes.

>>129760082Even when you do your best to effortpost it's just retarded bullshit.>Only one that isn't Metal is Nothing Else Matters.Unforgiven?>Others do have Hard Rock elements in fairnessIt's a buttrock record. The whole thing is a buttrock record. People buy it for the slow burn buttrock ballads (Unforgiven and Nothing Else Matters) and the medium tempo buttrock anthem (Enter Sandman). Normies and their pedestrian tastes are the only ones capable of bringing an album to double diamond, and the only songs they really ever spin are the hits.
>>129760082thanks chat jeetpt
>>129760135the production always sounded like ass to me. It didn't age well and sounds very low budget despite the album having a huge production budget. Load/Reload sound way better to me.
>>129760213The unforgiven is my favorite song in the album and my favorite song overall
>>129760135>Worst song: Enter Sandmant. sat alone at lunch in high school
>>129760213>>129760214Don't reply to the shitskin please
>>129760028This is what I believed when I was 11
>>129760028It's been a while so I can't comment on the whole album, but Sad But True and Wherever I May Roam are bangers
oh the metal chuds ain’t gonna like this one
patrician hereThe God That Failed is the best song
>>129760274Tastes can change with age retard. It was my favorite song in the album back at high school. I still like it but I don't think it's as strong as tracks like The Unforgiven or Sad But True. A bit too simplistic and the subject matter, although unique, isn't all that interesting. Great riff though. There's a reason it has reached Smoke on the Water levels of iconic. And also great drums weirdly enough. Lars' tom groove at the intro and the slower sections is one of his best.

>>129761025Song's so good I love it even though I'm Christian. Although it's more anti-Christian Science (retarded cult that's neither Christian nor scientific) than regular mainstream Christianity so I guess that's fine.
>>129761140You don’t even listen to music though

>>129760028well its the best album so it should be
>>129761025>patrician here>The God That Failed is the best song
>>129760028It's a great album. People will make fun of it for being entry level but even the songs that aren't talked about are great like Holier Than Thou and Through the Never.
Bump
>>129764279>People will make fun of it for being entry levelEntry level doesn't mean bad despite what some people think.Something has to be at least somewhat decent in order to be "entry level" otherwise who's gonna enter?
>>129760250>album famously hailed as one of the most well-produced albums in rock is actually...LE NOT(You)
Fair this album is a masterpiece, its gay that hating the black album has become some metalhead right of passage>>129761025Based

>>129772696Somehow the opening note to Enter Sandman is stuck in my head and I use that to tune the low E of my guitar in standard tuning
>>129770877Why can't Davefags just admit that the change in style in Countdown to Extinction and Youthanasia was inspired by the Black Album's success.
