Who was in the right?
>>129765744I've got a feeling the guy with ANIMAL RIGHTS and VEGAN FOR LIFE tattoos might be a bit hysterical.
>>129765744Roger Waters
>>129765744Moby because hes pathetic and desperate for attention
>>129766158How does that make Ray Davies in the wrong? Even if Lola is super transphobic it was written in fucking 1970 what is the age limit on judging works of art by modern moral standards? Shit like this unironically is the reason why music as a whole is dying
>transphobicNot a real world, people don't change genders, trans ideology is insane and unhinged, transphobia is a word they made up to describe normalcy
>>129765744>Dave DaviesLiterally who?
>>129767266Brother of Ray Davies, co-founder of the band The Kinks
>>129766589Tbh I thought the thread title was "who was in the wrong here" cause I skimmed and didnt realize I misread till after I hit submit.
>>129765744all that matters is the quality of the music, and The Kinks are infinitely better than Moby. However, conveniently Davies is also correct, they wrote a song about a trans person in the early 70s, and Moby's bullshit is obviously some virtue signalling retard taking offense at things he doesn't understand, and people like him make the world worse. I'm politically progressive, or at least economically progressive and socially libertarian, but these outrage retards are awful
>>129765756Both of those things are based, but Moby's wrong about trannies
>>129765744How is Lola supposed to be transphobic? Isn’t a pro-trans song?
>>129768908Yeah but internet trannies think it’s heckin’ problematic and outdated even though it’s from the fucking 1970s. It’s a great song though.
>>129768941>go to rym>look at reviews and comments on the Lola single>look around the forums>it's all positive and they're making fun of Moby hereMindbroken by trannies and delusional on their beliefs
>>129768320>r-slurableist bigot
>>129765744boomers have the best insults
>>129766605Indeed. We need to open up the asylums and put this degenerates to electroshock. We need to put all useless eaters in camps, where they will be executed and their corpses sold as food.
Lola isn't even about trannies or crossdressers. I don't know how so many people have been tricked into believing this. It's a song about a sheltered country being culture shocked and finding love with a big city girl.
>>129770561guys is it normal for city girls to talk like barry white?
>>129770698ask miley cyrus
>>129765744Moby really needs to fuck offLola's a great song and BTFOs Moby's entire careerSeriously I can't even name one of Moby's songsHe's an aging creeper pretending to be offended by a song that came out half a century ago just to get his washed up ass back in the headlines, it's really kind of depressingI guess his mind snapped when Hershlag exposed him as the nonce he so obviously is
>>129765744Trans women are women. End. Of. Fucking. Story. And don't try hiding behind 'but gramps didn't know any better'.We will hunt down every transphobe boomer and throw him in the gulag if they don't evolve RIGHT FUCKING NOW.
>>129765744>Who was in the right?Eminem
>>129765744You will never get me to hate Moby as an artist, he has some very good songs that were prominent when I was growing up. But he is an insufferable faggot outside of his work. It's his worst take yet. Under a microscope, "Lola" is mildly offensive to trans people. At worst. Given that it was written 50+ years ago, that's pretty damn forgivable. It's a fun, silly song. Pretty obviously not written from a place of hate in any way. It was 1970, Lou Reed and co. were already writing songs about trans prostitutes. The Kinks came at it from a different angle as otherwise straight guys writing about being 'trapped', but clearly not hating it. It's a 10/10 song even still.
>>129765744Well one of them is Moby
I was gonna say he's an infinitely better songwriter but then I realized it was Dave but then I remember Dave wrote Strangers so yeah he's still a better songwriter just for that.
>>129768908It's possibly the most positive sentiment in pop culture ever applied to the trans community during the entire 20th century. But the character of Lola is written as barely "passing", so that's somehow problematic if you whip yourself into enough of a froth - like Moby did.
>>129765744
What business do I have recognizing Moby? He's too old and I've never listened to techno
>>129769988> where they will be executedgo ahead, make the first move incel. put your money where your mouth is
>>129770561Your take might make sense if the song was like 10 years older... it was clearly about the kinkier underbelly of society. Which is honestly what makes it based.Being trans used to actually be kinda cool. A lot of the edgier rock stars would party and fuck men, women, trannies, whatever. It's just weird how it's the Disney adult autistic ones that are cropping up like weeds these days, not the cool avant-garde hipster gender-benders. Not only are there more trannies now, they're also way less cool overall.

>>129768398no, those things aren't based, nigger cuck. animals other than dogs and cats are either food or simply irrelevant. period. discussion over. if you disagree you forfeit your right to life.
