There's water on the wood and the sails feel goodAnd when I get to shore I hope that I can kill good
LOOK OUT MAMA THERE'S A WHITE BOAT COMING UP THE RIVER
what are the best lovelorn neil tunes
>>129773463I like when Neil rhymed "good" with "good" here.Captain Kennedy is nice, but it was a demo that needed a once-over like Powderfinger got. Still amazing that he could sit down once day and put all of "Hitchhiker" on tape.>>129774557>what are the best lovelorn neil tunes(Always subject to interpretation of the lyrics, of course, and biased towards early Neil because reasons):Expecting to FlyI've Loved Her So LongThe Losing EndBirdsI Believe in YouOnly Love Can Break Your HeartLove in MindTryGive Me StrengthHold Back the TearsUnknown LegendT-Bonehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=djQhaCtCsxw

I did not care for Ragged Glory.
>>129779363You mean the song or the whole album? tldr one of their roadies OD'd and died on heroin.

ON MY LAST TRIP TO TULSA
I saw Crazy Horse during this tour, with Sonic Youth and Social Distortion, at the Hartford Civic Center. Sonic Youth were good, and ended the set with a 10-minute feedback fiesta that had all the boomers in the crowd booing, stomping their feet, screeching and giving the thumbs down, etc. Then, when NY came on, Crazy Horse attempted their own lame, boomer version of said feedback fiesta and the boomers in the crowd were acting like it was the second coming of Jesus. Still, they were pretty good overall.
>>129780610Holy shit lol this idiot thinks SY are musicians instead of industry plants
>>129780622They’re no more industry plants than CIA Neil.
People seem to think Like a Hurricane is pretty good, but I can't find anything to enjoy in it. Just felt like sharing a controversial Neil opinion.
>>129781897I liked it the first time I heard it, but I can't stand it now
>>129778428>Love to BurnGreat song and I don't even like NY that much
>>129780622lol youre exactly what the dude was posting aboutfucking KARMA
>>129773424i really enjoy the albums harvest and on the beach. is his other albums just as good?
>>129782250He has a few distinct styles, those two are his soft acoustic side
>>129779180top tier song
>>129782250Yes. You'll like After the Gold Rush and the first half of Rust Never Sleeps.
>>129779794Maybe you'd like it if they re-recorded it 23 years later.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fuckin%27_Up

>It's only someone else's potatoes if you're pickin' someone else's patch>And if you go down there anyway, it very seldom lasts>I found that out once long ago and it sure got me confused>I still don't know which way to go to lose those old spud blues
After the Gold Rush vocals are so ass
Everybody Knows This is Nowhere is fuckin' great. Anything else like it?

>>129785406That song comes on the speakers at my workplace sometimes and something about his weird timbre on that song is much more enjoyable there than on my headphones at home.
>>129779165https://youtu.be/EaCnGtrXQ_Eit's all gonna be okay
Anything from his 80s period worth hearing?>>129787626New Mama might secretly be the best song on the album.
>>129789127IMO the Geffen period has at least one album for everyoneLook at the genres for each one and see what speaks to you
