Love the whammy pedal on Becoming. One of the best 90s riffs and one of the few times the effect actually sounds good.
>>
I think I’d rather listen to Exhorder
>>
>>129778306
massive downstep from vulgar but they were redeemed with trendkill
>>
>>129778306
it's kind of ass
I like cowboys, vulgar and trendkill a lot more

Funny story: back in elementary school we got an assignment to write an essay about your favorite band + play one song. Pantera was my fav band at the time so to their utter disgust, whole class had to listen to 'Slaughtered'. Lol
>>
It's unnecessary after the previous two albums.

Literally kept metal alive in the 90s when Nirvana killed it

IMO it's Pantera's best and heaviest album, but tbqh Scour is the only Anselmo band I actually like: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kppI8ZZi4ng

lol true, it's like groove metal is just the story of dilution. If you water down Exhorder you get Pantera, if you water down Pantera you get Machine Head, if you water down Machine Head you get Lamb of God, if you water down Lamb of God you get Five Finger Death Punch

Nirvana didn't kill metal, they helped kill hair metal, but death metal and thrash metal were just as responsible for killing hair metal as grunge was. Hair Metal is false metal.
>>
>>129781505
hair metal unlike all the bands you've listed was about that life. Crue, gnr and even poison lived more blues and gangsta lifestyle than all suburban grunge and thrash faggots. crue alone have bigger rep sheet than all of these soft middle class bitchboys

Bon jovi was more real and manly than slayer
>>

lolno, they were shallow kids who went to LA to try to get famous. And GNR also helped kill hair metal because they saw that Crue and Poison were poseurs, so they made everything bluesier and more real, which made the rest of hair metal obsolete.

A lot of the grunge musicians came from straight poverty. It was solidly working class. The thrash kids were too, and they were violent. They just wanted to play fast, raw, powerful music, while the hair metal kids just wanted to be rockstars and didn't really care about music. The only reason Crue is even considered metal is because they had one good musician, Mick Mars. There were some diamonds in all the shit - Twisted Sister were a great hard rock/metal band, Mark Slaughter was an incredible vocalist, and again, GNR was a great band, but most of the glam metal scene was absolutely awful. Thrash bands like Anthrax and Tankard had more humor than any hair metal bands, and thrash bands like Artillery and Toxik were more truly metal, with more legitimate influence from artists like Dio. Death Metal bands like Obituary and Entombed rocked way harder than any hair metal bands. Glam Metal was literally just goofy pop rock

ah yes, leaving your family and home to hustle la in poverty is such a poser behavior. It doesn't gets more real than staying at your home turf in Seattle and whine about REAL STRUGGLE like jocks being mean and daddy not understanding that's it's NOT A PHASE

My mosquito my libido is a much more important topic than struggling vets that Bret sings about on "something to believe in"

She called me daddy and I called her baby and I smacked her ass
