K-pop is kinda unique (but not necessarily 'good') when it's a maximalist pastiche of 90s R&B. It ironically actually feels like it has a Koreanness that shines through when it does that. All the songs Ive checked out have the singing half in korean and half in english, so it's very off-putting.
