One of my favorite genres of music imo but the cutoff for good vaporwave being released has long passed (With a few acceptions)

It will be remembered as a valuable experiment in hauntological pastichemaxxing and its influence on almost everything that came after it is obvious.

the "aesthetic" was fucking trash, the music was pretty great. Some of it was repetitive but there were some gems

I love it.

It's a shame that it seems like a genre that's run out of ideas, or at least nobody is able to find anything new.

B-tier vapor artists like death's dynamic shroud and luxury elite have better discographies than the vast majority of artists

Vektroid's solo work alone is worthy of being put in the same category as the best electronic music ever made

Birth of a New Day, virtua.zip, Underwater Mirage, both of the Televape collabs... There's so much good vaporwave out there that managed to move past the label entirely

Also Skeleton's entire body of work is /mu/-core since 99.9% chance they came from here.
