S/t > DD > PB
They got worse the further they got

I wish they would go back to lore.

I'll say it: ST is a perfect album.

In posterity I can only assume Damon Albarn fell for a number of shit hot meme genres to be the future of music but never felt the confidence to be a white rapper and engage with hip hop directly in spite of really wanting to. The result is music that largely dates itself and has aged in an unappealing way. Whatever that may be the old /mu/ people seem to be longing for told threads like this to go to r/music.

Wut? S/t still sounds quite futuristic and it's an all around fun listen to say the least
>>
Tough. S/T is so good and there are days where I'd consider it my favorite, but Demon Days is so cohesive and dark. Plastic Beach goes in third for sure though, it's very good, but I like the vibe of the first two more.

I didn't know you know Damon personally

Self titled > plastic beach > demon days

Demon days has like five shitty songs that I never want to hear again. D-sides is better than demon days

D-Sides had enough good shit to be a mainline album.

It’s a shame they never released a p-sides. I really wanted that Russell ident song.

The shittiest song on Demon Days is that gay one with Dennis Hopper
The shittiest song on Plastic Beach is melancholy hill
self titled doesn't have any stinkers

Depends on my mood but usually it's DD>PB>S/T but I genuinely love them all

I agree

One hundred percent this. Plastic Beach obsessives always seem to conveniently forget that tracks 11 through 16 range from bad to forgettable

If The Fall was good enough, then yeah.

it's faux-deep "this is just like our society" stonerslop

Would’ve loved to see Carousel reach its fruition. Instead we got plastic beach… the stylo demo is still one of the most hauntingly dark and captivating electronic songs I’ve ever heard.
