Here are four I've avoided. Yes, I know these don't get discussed that often anymore. Been on /mu/ for years and have been avoiding certain artists for no real reason, the album covers don't look that bad and I'd probably even enjoy the music but I just have this strong urge to avoid them. What about you? Are there any artists/albums like this for you?
There's always at least one reason no matter how trivial. I don't check out that indie album with the elephant on it because I assume it's gonna suck. Still a reason.
ive been pretty much obsessed with jazz for the last 3 years, listening to it almost every waking moment but i kinda avoided duke ellington for a long time. it hits like crazy tho when you have a lot of context to appcriate the nuances of the music because you have heard a lot of the stuff surrounding it yet you havent built up a tolerance to the music itself
>>129803286The closest "reason" I can think of for me is that these albums would look bad on my lastFM top albums of the week
swans. i have been avoiding swans because although their albums look good, their fans have always annoyed me which puts me off their work.
>>129803207as a huge dso fan i'm curious what you'll think of them. listen to the first couple songs of paracletus and tell me what you think>>129803290this is one of my favorite ellington albums. star-crossed lovers is one of my favorites, it has a melody and swing that really opens up when you become familiar with other similar players like coleman hawkins or lester young
>>129803207It's a shame that is the only Everything Everything album that gets posted here, their other ones are really solid too
>>129803207Nonagon Infinity I will shill for. The rest meh.
