What happened to to acid jazz?
>>129804714young people stopped doing drugs
>not trippy, not jazzPeople noticed the obviously false advertising
>>129804714Brexit.But really, I don't even know what acid jazz really is, besides vaguely being jazz from England. (Are there any acid jazz artists outside the UK?)I listen to a lot of Ronnie Jordan, basically smooth jazz with a drum machine. He's considered acid jazz. But when I Google the term, it seems to be a heavier emphasis on funk and dancing. So I don't know what happened to it because I never knew what it was. Jazz with some electronics? Idk, give me some recs, OP.
fotm I miss Moloko btw
>>129804973It's actually a misnomer that has nothing to do with actual jazz and I don't know why 'acid' is in it either. It's more like house music but a little more experimental and organic sounding, sometimes played by actual musicians and not sampled. Makes you want to say it's 'funky'. Everyone knows Jamiroquai for example. Moloko from the OP is also acid jazz.>BrexitIt died way before that kek. It died around 2005.
Fun For Me is an all time banger. I sampled a snippet of it in one of my crabcore songs
>>129805131We need to hear this
>>129805155It's only like a 2 second snippet, but it was one of those things where when I added it to the song I started laughing at how well it workedhttps://youtu.be/ValAhjuWI94
