Why are ATDI pretty much the only true post HC band whenever normalfags talk about the genre? They tend to list the most mallcore, faggy popshart then suddenly pull out ATDI, which worshipped DLJ.

Most of it is simple melodic punk with milquetoast distortion and cartoonish vocals that have been the butt of many normalfag jokes. All sense of dynamics, intention, and subtlety stripped away for commercial simplicity. ATDI never fell for this shit even if their sound is slightly clean because of their influences and the fact that they weren't scared of being weird and non-commercial at times.
