How do we stop billionaires and white women ruining traditional music platforms like CD discs and CD players or Flac/Mp3 Players

dont use devil streaming. download stuff, use physical media, new or used, buy or pirate, whatever mix works for you. the point being to control your own library and your access to it, and to curate your own experience, don’t have paid-for algoslop piped into your eyes and ears.people handwave this stuff away mumbling about ""convenience"" but it matters, imo. it causes a gradual and progressive cheapening of popular art and popular culture. I don’t see a way that the streaming model and the resulting shape of popular media from production to consumption can improve the standard of music or tv or movies, I think it can only homogenise and sanitise and dilute.anon is right though, its probably too late
Nothing inherently wrong with people choosing not to actually own shit in favor of subscription based convenience. It's their loss. If you want physical to thrive you should convince people to engage in physical ownership or just engage in it yourself and lead by example. Labels still produce and sell physical because they wager it's not dying any time soon and there's a market for it.
