SSLP was his first and last good album, and it was above average at best. Too many skits and really only a handful of good songs. It's not deeply flawed or anything but it's not a masterpiece.

MMLP is just gross to listen to. People say Eminem is bad now but his monotone screaming singing was always there back then. It's the same for the Eminem Show. People only remember these albums from the hit singles, which are actually pretty good and catchy. The album also has a nice ambient and dark feeling to it that's there from start to finish, which is an improvement from SSLP where there isn't really any mood or theme. But Eminem, back then, just like he does now, struggles to make a good song where he does all 3 verses and choruses. Eminem needed someone like Mike Dean to trim this down to like 35 minutes and say no to him.

In the present day, if I had any constructive criticism, Eminem needs to be banned from singing, singing choruses, raising his pitch above his normal speaking tone in a song, saying the words "slim" and "shady" in that order, mentioning his past in any form, fast rapping, being the only artist on a song, and making albums. He should be a feature on another artist's song but not much else.
