>peaks and concludes psych rock while inventing shoegaze in the processhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1-DWqnqEWDM
>>129815489its not the peak of psych rockits not the first shoegazebut its a great song
>>129815489>60s one direction fanficpretty gay. old /mu/ would've torn your ass apart for this thread, especially since we hated this band back then.
What do you gain from shitting up Beatle threads for half a decade? Like seriously, break your "no reply" rule and just indulge me.
>>129815489>OK George you can have one song per album, let's hear it
>>129815508kill yourself
>>129815508Why do you have pictures of men you think are gay saved on your device and post about them every day?
>>129816083>>129816107Stop feeding him. He's going to an hero in his pakistani getto soon.
>>129816048>Eh that one's not so fab, George. We'll save it for the cartoon.
>>129815489actually The Velvet Underground invented shoegaze (and pretty much every alternative rock genre desu)
>>129816048My big schizo beatle theory is that George greatly exaggerated how he had this huge backlog of songs that John/Paul were rejecting. I say this because a lot of his contributions are kind of shitty, like trying to get it's only a northern song on pepper, why would he even bring that in to the sessions if he supposedly had songs like isn't it a pity hanging around? Why would John/Paul deny that but accept stuff like Piggies. I think George really blossomed as a songwriter in 68-70 and intentionally kept the good songs to himself cause he saw the beatles were ending and also probably didn't feel confident standing up to Paul about the arrangments.
>>129815489I love the beatles and I love neil young but I am soooooo siiiick of this trend of attributing the birth of every genre to these guys. I saw a post on Instagram that said that neil young invented post punk when he did hey hey my my
>>129819365>neil young invented post punk when he did hey hey my myThis but the Devo version https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7-3XRlWQH54
>>129819402red krayola invented post punk in 1967
Dude LOVES india up his ass hole, so he gets within you without you on sgt pepper without issue. John and Paul couldn't vito that shit? They even let him put inner light on the b side of lady madonna. How the fuck does that even happen? He has regular songs and those dont get recorded because they're not good enough.
>>129819332This checks out quite well. Also>be george, late 60s>wah(wah) I've got such a backlog >be george, 1970>hmmm, i think I've got space to include a Dylan cover and a second (less incredible) version of Isn't it a Pity(I love ATMP, btw)
>>129819123they never did shoegaze tho
>>129815489not shoegaze. indie pop, if anything
>>129820551[citation needed]
CAN invented post-punk and it's obvious https://youtu.be/7gjIzeWxgmc?si=XMeFg4FA8ocyR7s4
>>129815489Before I knew much about the Beatles, I thought this nigga's pic had to be John Lennon because I knew JL was the de facto leader and GH was the only cool looking one of the bunch. Why'd they let such a dork-looking guy like JL be leader?
>>129819123if you listen to real first wave Shoegaze, you will notice that it's all beatles worship
>>129822480>>129822495how is this not post-punkhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H9ttRvp3_VU
>>129822530what exactly is "first wave Shoegaze"like 1989-91?
>>129822530Ride specifically
>>129822532it is. but it's more of a prediction of the new wave and post-punk trends, while CAN was directly imitated by those post-punk bands.
>>129822530yeah Isn't Anything sounds just like the Beatles lol
>>129822598>>129822588Ride, Chapterhouse, early Blur, Catherine Wheel. The term Shoegaze was used to mock these bands.
>>129822616saying those bands are "beatles worship" is a little bit of a strech, since their music goes out of beatles territory into new places. For example, Ride is far heavyer. compare beatles Rain with rides Seagull
>>129815508wrong
>>129822717it's still beatles worship, as far as blending a 60s group into 80s/90sr rock goes. I say this because TVU isn't half as relevant to first wave shoegaze.
>>129822717Didn't Seagull nick the bassline from Taxman?
>>129822793I dunno but I would like to know
>>129822839>>129822793yes
>>129816346Yes. if I stop replying, he won't appear as the first post in every Beatles thread till the heat death of this board. That's how it works
>>129822616>>129822717>>129822793and the final trvke: first wave shoegaze was just the bridge between stone roses/baggy and oasis/britpop. listening to this song from 1990 should make you realize. you can also hear John Lennon. https://youtu.be/Fh_EWqIFpQQ?si=QPuqAcNBx64BeFqYoasis was on the same label as those shoegaze bands, currently has the front man of Ride as their bassist and made songs like this https://youtu.be/7QyF5UdhBJI?si=kxAjxmKYvXLfy1hC
>>129822944yea but shoegaze is better than britpopit should have stopped evolving there
>>129822964Definitely Maybe is decent
>>129822987its biblical m8
>>129815489Also one of the best Beatles covershttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sMXvRmcKetQ
