Both are fine. Definitely on the same level. They're not very original and highbrow but catchy and talented at what they do. Their lyrics cover everyday enjoyable themes to vicariously enjoy as well as dealing with important life themes like personal growth and mental health. I personally prefer Nickelback because they're more my generation and rock, but Imagine Dragons is really inoffensive. As soon as I got over feeling better than their fans I realized they're not terrible.
God I hate both of these bands but I'm going to have to give it to Nickelback. Shit like Thunder doesn't even sound like music to me. At least Nickelback has the meme factor going for them
