I HATE loud concerts. I went to a metal concert and it was so fucking loud I couldn't make out anything.
>just wear earplugs bro
Why not make your concert quieter?
>>
>>129825899
Metal concerts aren't louder than any other concerts, except lounge acts or bedroom pop shit... Likely it's the only concert you ever went to in your life and you're a faggot for it.

And yes, you should always wear plugs at live shows. ALWAYS!
>>
>>129826408
Not OP but why don't they play at a volume level where you don't need earplugs
>>
>>129826433
Because they HATE you
>>
>>129826408
Yeah and then you have insanely loud audio but it's muffled. Fantastic. Just play quieter Jesus fucking Christ.

>t. little pussy bitch boys
go to a jazz bar if you want quiet you low T faggots. it's loud because we like it loud
>>
they need to drown out the crowd and the reverberation of the room
the size and quality of the sound system play a part too. In top class clubs you can feel the pressure in your legs but you can also talk to someone on the floor without yelling in their ear
>>
>>129826665
I don't know about you, but I like music, not loud. Y'know, rhythms and melodies and harmonies and such?
>>
>>129826766
Yeah well why don't people just stay fucking quiet?
>>
>>129826780
i can hear all that just fine at concerts. sounds like a personal problem
>>
>>129825899
same reason they dump a pound of salt in all the food.
chuds set the taste standards for society.
>>
>>129825899
Stop going to rock concerts, they always sound like shit and most of all you can hear is the stupid fucking drums.
>>
>>129826766
>drown out the crowd
Yes
>and the reverberation of the room
Impossible. Louder they play the louder the reverberation.
>>129826796
Classical music culture enforces quiet audiences and classical is almost dead. It's more profitable to not gatekeep your customers.

I went to a classical concert where they played Scriabin's Poem of Ecstasy and it was one of the loudest things I've ever heard. The recordings really don't do justice to huge orchestras that just hammer it out. Shit was cash.

fpbp

You can get custom earplugs for a couple of hundred bux, molded to your ear canal and they cut out frequencies more evenly so you get a better sound then just the muffly muff of those foam things. I bought mine 10 years ago, was absolutely worth it. Comfy and the sound is good. And, most importantly, my ears live to fight another day.

>Yeah well why don't people just stay fucking quiet?
this is why I don't go to concerts anymore. Years ago I was up close at a MMW show, pretty much right in front of the PA and there's some frat boy douchebag YELLING over the PA on a cell phone. Fuck's sake man just go to the bar, at least at the back of the room and let the rest of us enjoy the show.

I assure you of all the reasons classical music is dead, having a quiet audience is not on the list.

>Having to spend "a couple hundred bucks" on earplugs just so you can endure a concert without harm
Just listen to what you're saying, man. There's no defending the ridiculousness of the loudness of rock/metal concerts.
