Oh I dont need the (you) darling. This is just a reminder for you desu. I actually play my instrument and am active with other like minded people in real life. And have met musicians others look up to. In fact im so lucky that I dont even want attention because im lucky and grateful to have the opportunity to just hang out with cool dudes. In the real world we would have said that was cool and I would say thanks and then you would play and rinse repeat. But no you need some kind of fulfillment winning phantom battles lmao and im here for it. Do me a favor and look if the new ltd 1000 series are made in Korea or Indonesia. I cant find definitive proof going either way. If theyre korean then I may have to get a new guitar I dont need.

idk why this control scheme is pretty common on bass but pretty much unseen on guitars, is it because bass players often plug their active basses straight into PA systems without using pedals or an amp or anything else
>>
burūsu doraibā
>>
>>129829629
basses use active circuits a lot. I’m not entirely sure why but you typically have a volume, blend, bass and treble cut/boost, an active/passive switch, and with more advanced circuits a mid cut/boost and sometimes a mid frequency selector. idk how or why they got so popular but fingerstyle/slap/tapping all require very different EQ shapes to sound good but you could do it all at the amp or with pickup selectors

>>129829629
Going direct probably has a lot to do with it, another part is probably that bass players are more likely to use the same bass instead of bringing a different guitar for a tone; active pickups are very versatile. In my opinion, while direct basses sound good, a lot of bass amps sound awful and tubes really just aren’t powerful enough for bass.
>>
>>129829710
What's weird to me is most basses often don't have a pick up selector at all despite having everything else, they just have a vol pot for each pick up
>>
>>129829615

>>
>>129829756
that’s a good question. the best answer I’ve found is that if might sound weird if the bass changes tone halfway through the song. bass ideally is a very predictable and stable instrument because it affects the harmony so easily. very easy instrument to play badly

The lead in this is all underdrive stuff. I really like underdriving the FZ-2 cause it's too much at normal gain. Though I'm using the FZ2 with some other BOSS drives too. Im using my CS3 for underdrive.

a pedal that takes a driven signal and un-drives it doesn't exist, a drive with a clean blend is as "underdrive" as it gets
>>
>>129834401
no, you can reduce the gain in your signal with lots of pedals, then send it to a drive pedal. That's how you create underdrive. You are literally producing less gain that way

>>
>>129834463
>do you mean like a volume pedal that drops the strength of your signal in between two gain stages
Yes exactly. It's like having your volume knob turned down into a pedal. Not every drive is gonna respond to underdrive the same way, some are too compressed to have and effect, but i'm finding these Boss pedals do it pretty nicely
>>
>>129834463
in my cas it's the levels on the compressor, you can even set the CS3 up like a limiter if you don't want it too compressed. i put the level low so you can't even hear it untill i turn on another pedal

lower frequencies are much more flexible, the higher you go the less of a difference you hear which is why most guitars don't even have eq apart from maybe a tone knob on them.
A bass with the mids boosted or scooped will sound completely different and change the whole vibe of the song whereas a guitar with the tone knob won't change as much in a mix.

>>129829756
just about all basses with more then one pickup have a blend knob since you often want to blend the pickups rather than just pop them off and on like with a toggle on guitars. Pushing the blend 80/20 towards the bridge has a whole different sound than just turning the neck off and going 100 into the bridge like you would on guitar.
It's mostly just Fender and vintage shit that has the two volume layout, most basses have blend knobs.

How do you know that if fender never tried it? Only fender strats with hardtail bridge are in 1k+ range and I don't remember ever seeing anything cheaper than that. that's not true. they build thousands of bodies and necks at a time, introducing hardtail strats would require them to sink probably hundreds of thousands of dollars on a risky bet on a guitar that has proven to be unpopular, and they don't do it because they know they'll wind up with thousands of hardtail bodies they can't sell
strats are bolt ons just buy a hard tail body from ebay or something and quit whining

Mustang bridges are a little bit more specific than a hardtail strat. The latter actually takes less time and effort to make. You're just being a retarded contrarian for the sake of it. First you say then don't sell, which is bullshit, and now you're moving the goalpost. You ignore my arguments for the sake of jerking off your tiny intellect that even your parents were always embarrassed about.

>>129837502
For sure, there's really no reason to make a ht strat line at least in the indo range if not mexican. Test the waters and whatnot. There absolutely is a market for it, otherwise other brands wouldn't bother with the concept.

Hi the bible is real so choose Jesus Christ to be your Lord, say "The Lord Jesus Christ is my Lord" aloud, and get baptized
You can play guitar in heaven, heaven should be your eternal destination. It is better than you think.

Proverbs 23:17-19

17 Don't be envious of sinful people; let reverence for the Lord be the concern of your life. 18 If it is, you have a bright future.

19 Listen, my child, be wise and give serious thought to the way you live.

Why aren't they making arm contoured teles? Because they're retarded. They parrot "tradition" as some holy concept to deny the market what it wants. If it really doesn't sell, you'd be showing proof of t rather than making baseless claims of "if they dont do it then it must be true!!?!" like a tard.

>>129837757
Eh that's doubtful since the trem is a bit part of the strat. Would be way too greedy on their part. I'll be damned if the ht ones wouldn't sell though. There wouldn't be tons of people decking their trems or blocking them with wood if the hardtail strat idea was so unpopular.

You wish I was fat to make you feel better about yourself. Must be a manlet. And at what price point do they do it? It's obviously a great thing to improve the playability and very easy to make but they do it only for the expensive guitars, just like ht strats, when there's absolutely zero reasons to not do it in the more affordable range.

I really wonder what the value of these will be when all the boomers die. I can't see the volume of demand keeping up with the quantity of how many survive, except for the very, very low volume shit.

It's insane how much people still ask for 70s-90s gibsons and femders despite their build quality being wholly mediocre and them not being rare at all.
