It definitely primes me with a certain concept or vibe before listening. I can manage to look past that but if the album art is sick and the music shit I'll feel baited.

Yes. For example, death metal bands all print their band names with this cringey, gay thornbush font that makes it completely incomprehensible. Not at all unlike gang graffiti, where you have to have a degree in hieroglyphics to figure it out. If I see that, I know to skip it.

If it's really interesting or has an attractive girl on the cover, I will want to enjoy it more, and be more lenient/accepting of the music. If it has ugly or cringey album art, I will go in with a more negative attitude and be slightly harsher in my initial judgement.But once I've listened to it once, it really doesn't matter other than looking cool or annoying me with how ugly it is

>>129832845Depends on the music. Electronic music is so oversaturated I sometimes just listen to things based on the cover art. For rock music I could really care less since I've found some gems with shitty cover art.
