>makes songs heavily inspired by gospel and mentions The Lord, Jesus and Christ quite often
>never mentioned the word God in his lyrics (except one time in No God, Only Religion, which is an instrumental)
What's going on here?
>>
This man is not a Christian and probably abhors Christianity
He only mentions Jesus because the gospel sound dovetails nicely with space rock
>>
he should mention Buddha or Vishnu not the Jew on a stick

He is not a Christian but I don''t think he hates Christianity. He likes it enough to love its music, though.

This. Notice how is references to the Lord and Jesus decreased a lot in his last two albums, on which he was clean and sober. He still uses religious concepts (Hossanah was a first) but it is now in a "broader" sense other than drugs being his god

And he says
>GOD SAVE YOUR LITTLE SOUL
on the chorus of So Long You Pretty Thing. Interestingly his last song of the last album in which he was a junkie

>turns out that "Jesus & Drugs" was in reality only "Drugs"
