How the h*ck is THIS considered their worst album, but 'private music' is an instant classic somehow?? Is there a more retarded fanbase in music?

>classic
their last classic was snw

Private music actually has more than 1 good song on it though.

The production sucked and there's only two or three great songs. Private Music is better produced and has almost no bad tracks.

As someone who ranks Gore in the top half of the discography, it does almost nothing to appease the fans of their "classic" material. The production is one thing and it does matter since the music doesn't "hit right" compared to the sound of the first 4 albums, but putting that aside the songwriting is like the 3 albums before it if they went all the way to outer space with it, which KNY was sort of trying to do in spots anyways. It's a weird as fuck album if you're just wanting to listen to a Deftones album, give it to someone who swears by Around the Fur and they'll probably be left scratching their head with it. Private Music plays more like an amalgamation of all their records up to this point, so everyone leaves with something to take away on that one.
