Do you think Yngwie would have been more successful if he played a Les Paul?
>>
No one knows how to say his name, that might have more to do with it

Yes but not near the same. The Strat is just way better, more modular. It's the AR15 of Guitars.

Does Gibson make scalloped fretboards?
>>
No cause if anything the Strat was more ubiquitous as a rhythm guitar than a shred machine. It actually might have been a lowkey big part of his appeal

as a kid in the 90's I only ever read his name in guitar magazines and pronounced it "yeengwee" and that's still my preferred pronunciation

Yngwie finds inspiration from Strats. He can play a Les Paul easily, there are clips of him. But they don't inspire him. The Stratocaster is its own instrument.

i prefer his non heavy metal sutff because he can play beautifully but he is still stuck in a manchild genre... aka Metal... He has demonstrated he is not a phony and he actually understands music to its core.

I'm not a big Yngwie listener, but this sounds exactly like his "heavy metal" stuff
>>

skip around, it really does not. Its neoclassical there is even some acoustic tunes in there 2 or 3 and they are really good. Dude can play whatever if he sets his mind to it.

Doesn't it sound like Castlevania to you? Or at least Guilty Gear in some sections? It's really good. I bet Yngwie inspired all of those composers because he got big in Japan and from there his influence spread around the country.
>>
I wish I could ply a Strat

learn. Glarry sends DIY Strat clones for like 80 bucks that you can paint yourself however you want, hopefully ur not retarded and you paint it before putting the electronics and the magnetic coils inside.
