Overcomposed? It's one of their simpler songs if anything, the rhythm section is very stock and almost every melody note is the same length, it sounds closer to the Smashing Pumpkins than to any other song on the album

It took me an embarrassingly long time to realize the name of the album is literal and that Dirty Boy is a hymn about the crucifixion of Jesus Christ.
