I come back to this album more than any of the other ones.
Sure, their more popular individual songs are later on but as a whole record this is the best "package"/album

incesticide was a compilation so not quite a fair comparison. otherwise i agree though. something feels like there is more variety to the sound on incesticide, some of which were singles and b-sides but also rejected songs from the bleach era. all nirvana albums are great but bleach is also a product of its time and place. once they had grohl on board and perfected their sound a bit, there was no stopping them. its always a good reminder to people though that they had music/an album prior to nevermind.

How many songs off this album were they still playing live?
I think maybe 3.
That tells you what they thought about them.
Many of them were never played live again after Nevermind came out. I think they knew they moved on to another level
