>>129848985no, I'm embarrassed
all your albums look so beautiful together. what a lovely way to reflect upon time
>>129848985never listened to any of this, i've heard Keith Kenniff and i've heard some Yussef Dawes but not that album. looks cozy stuff though, nice for the cold months which it has been where i amhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x-sKak9r5QU>>129849301+julia brownthat's all i got actuallyhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C1IVI_4oCIs
>>129849480I like Arthur Russell, Big Star, Wild Nothing, Wilco, nice taste.>>129849301it's mostly ambient, they usually contains calm/landscape imagesA friend's 5x5:
>>129849301Respect the drainer lifestyle>>129849480+ john martyn & arthur russell, I wonder if it was you who suggested grace & danger to me I really enjoyed it anyway>>129849667The shape of punk to come is elite
these medium timescales are weird for me cos I don’t repeat album listens that much so close together. I did 6 months but my most played album here (Genog) still only has 6 plays and a lot of things are on here cos they have a lot of tracks even tho I only listened once or twice. which is why I did 6 months cos 3 months was pretty much all just the longest albums>>129849690Roxy Music is amazing. I want to like Talk Talk the music is really good but the vocals annoy me I dont like the vibrato and its a bit croonery>>129849667+ booba, Damned>>129849480I very very very dont like that Wild Nothing album cover but the music is pretty coolmaybe youd like Savage Sister>>129849301dont really know much of that. needs captions>>129848985Christina Vantzou is coolI rec you Starving Weirdos - Land Lines
Surprised by these results myself, truthfully
Metalhead coming through. Move me, excuse aside!I'm just realising since I have no idea what's the music you guys listen to, would be great if we posted highlights and reccs.>Steröid is great "eggy metal", they actually sound like this live minus the chipmunk voice.
I don't know why I've been so obsessed with PSB as of late. Hit me out of nowhere and doesn't really fit my usual tastes. But I'm just gonna go with the flow.>>129850829All gold. There's like three albums/artists I don't know here. I gotta check them out, because I like everything else.Remember back when /mu/ was actually music/obscurity-focused, and so much so that great stuff like Exuma was considered pedestrian and plebby? Wouldn't happen now.>>129849690I really need to listen to Roxy Music properly. Been meaning to for ages. Nice TT btw.>>129849667Pisces Iscariot is like my second fav SP release. They were so on fire in the 90s that a b-side album beat the fuck out of most bands' actual albums.
I didn't listen to much this month>>129851441Absolution is my favourite album possibly ever. Have you checked out their early B-sides? >>129851985lol at the Red Alert 2https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GKvlt6rpb4Y
>>129852138>lol at the Red Alert 2Soundtrack is golden, my friend.Red Alert 3 is kinda meh. Klepacki wasn't involved in its soundtrack which explains it..
>>129852138+Take Five, Dean Martin >>129849480+Chet Baker, Phil Collins>>129849301+Rae, Lil Uzi

>>129853354yes sister..
>>129853486RIP Art Tatum 1940-1944 incredibly prolific toddler>>129852567Clarence Carter had a song Patches that was popular in middle school because a teacher would play it all the time for some reason, he wasn't even my teacher and even i knew about it. nice R Kelly, unfortunately i still haven't found any singer of his era i like as much as him>>129852138anberlin is one of my favorite bands since adolescence, nice. phantogram is a throwback as well. +oscar peterson, paul desmondrec: The Gloria Record - A Lull in Traffic. or possibly their album Start Here, which is a bit more art rock>>129851985+Acid, Municipal Waste, Demilich, Electric Wizard, Fu Manchu, Pestilence~Pig Destroyeru like Truckfighters? always had swag to me
All along we had good intentions
Hello. No, I don't really enjoy Truckfighters, I never thought they had swag, not enough drug abuse promotion. I had a deep long stoner phase more than 10 years ago from which only a few bands remain. Dopethrone greatest album of all time though. You don't like Pig Destroyer? They're the most solid moderngrind band in my opinion, bigly influential even though I'm not really a grind guy (I like their /prod/ above all).
>>129854176hello defeated sanity anime woman :-)yeah i was never a stoner but truckfighters and fu manchu are two of the bands that stood the test of time for me from my similar stoner phase, had that kinda coolguy sound. i feel like i just skipped pig destroyer when i got into grindcore and as a result i just don't find them that impressive, it's cool enough but i just never reach for it i guess. same way if you got into thrash metal without ever listening to metallica and then you listened to metallica you might be like sure ok (actually this kind of happened to me too). i actually prefer stupid production for grindcore so maybe that's the difference there. defeated sanity rocks btw>>129854102https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LoGOBSQ9ZLg
pic related is my 2025's january to march>>129849690Nice taste.Do you avoid listening to new music, or do you prefer sticking with the old stuff?>>129850829I only know T. Rex, Roberto Musci, Exuma and Jane Weaver. What genres are the others?>>129851441Nice taste. I discovered Miki Nakatani - Shiseikatsu (1999) last month. Marty Supreme OST is pure gold. Listening to the soundtrack on its own is great. Hearing it during the movie is out of this world.>>129852567I liked Rae many years ago, but I got sick of him pretty quickly>>129854102It's great that you have such varied tastes
I haven't really been listening to heaps of music because I moved cities for uni (southern hemisphere) and it coincided with ramadan so I've been really busy. But I think even though I'm only 20 my taste has seemingly crystallised because its been in this orbit for the last three years or so. Kinda annoyed tbqh.I wonder if I'll ever have one of these without a Vibracathedral album lol>>129851985I think if I met someone like you when I was 13 I would've never stopped being a metalhead >>129850829You recommended smote to me
