You can't claim to like music if you don't listen to classical.
>>
>>129849778

>"classical" as a vague category
name one piece
>>
>>129849778
Who was claiming to like music on this website?
>>
>>129849822
Tchaikovsky Manfred Symphony?
>inb4 that's ackshually romantic
pedant
>>
>>129849839
that's not a good use of the word pedant because pedant suggests the concern for minor details when that is not a minor detail at all that is in fact a big detail
>>
>>129849853
It's even worse than being a pedant, you're pseudointellectual. Everyone knows that romantic music is classical.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Classical_music
>Classical music generally refers to the art music of the Western world
Was the Romantic era Western art music?

Imagine caring about primitive jurassic music from 300 years ago, KWAB.
>>
>>129850025
In reality that "primitive Jurassic music" is both more complex and more cohesive than pretty much everything being made nowadays. Sure, the timbres are less varied, but everything else is more interesting. Except maybe rhythms, but then again modernist classical music has more rhythmically interesting stuff than popular music.

unplug your keyboard
>>
>>129850207
Have you ever tried listening to Bach? Or Mozart? Or Beethoven? Or Mahler? Or Stravinsky? Or Shostakovich? They're all famous for a reason.
>>
>>129849720
it pisses you off when famous people listen to music and try to guess the song?
>>
>>129850214
never even heard of those losers
>>
>>129850227
Obvious ragebait, but you should really give it a try. I listen to modern music as well, but a world without classical music would be a lot duller. Honestly try whatever, I feel like most classical outside of like atonal stuff is pretty accessible.
>>
>>129850233
are you pitching me the most popular music ever made right now?
>>
>>129850245
Do you not listen to classical?
>>
>>129850254

>>
>>129850267

>>
>>129850277
And the answer....?
>>
>>129850254
Does Muse counts as classical ?, what about instrumental music ?
>>
>>129850301
Is this a joke?
>>
>>129850281
horrible PR for classicalfags with your posts btw not that you aren't already adding to a mountain
>>
>>129850315
What would you rather I say? That it's just like pop music?
>>
he literally picked the worst geese songs to have billy corgan listen to
>>
>>129849720
Something about this "music enjoyer" culture pisses me off. These people all worship 1960s and 70s music like it's the peak of human achievement, and none of them are actually interested in music for music's sake. It's all an aesthetic to them.
>>
>>129850216
all these types of "music listeners" have this pretentiousness to them and it's annoying.

>oh yeah I know Miles Davis! My parents played him all the time growing up and I couldn't help but be drawn into him. You see, I'm 200 IQ and you wouldn't understand unless you're smart like me!
>>
>>129849720
I HATE INFLUENCERS AND I HATE GIMMICKS
>>
>>129849778
I prefer music, thanks.

>>129853654
true
>>
the one with john c reilly I feel is the only legitimate one
>>
>>129853554
these people are all old and like the music they grew up with VERY NORMAL BEHAVIOR
>>
>>129853554
>These people all worship 1960s and 70s music like it's the peak of human achievement
Wait, it's not?
>>
>>129853654
>influencers

>gimmicks
