This fat lil nigga probably wrote ten or more major rock guitar hits between the Guess Who and BTO.
>But is rarely mentioned as one of the greats.
I've been trying to learn some of his songs on guitar recently and they are among the most interesting I've ever tried to learn.
Stuff like 'Undun' seem so harmonically complex, they are basically prog rock, but still sound as accessible as the best hit radio guitar rock.
And stuff like 'Takin Care of Business' and 'You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet' are literally the quintessential of the best 3 chord (easily learned) 70s bar band guitar rock there is.
Give this nigga some love. Also both the Guess Who (literally the best top 40 guitar rock band of late 60s/early 70s after CCR) and BTO (best mid 70s bar band rock guitar band hit makers) obviously deserve to be in rock HoF, but the libs on the board hate their politics or something faggy like that.

I too can’t believe nobody talks about The Guess Who. I’m seeing them in June

You make a good point, OP. Politics and cultural engineering have 'cancel cultured' some great songs and bands.
