>Television
>Jimi Hendrix
>Joy Division
>Sex Pistols
>The Doors

the debut is often the best album for a band

I don’t even like rap, yet I think College Dropout easily clears any of those, wrong picks.

I respect your opinion even if it's wrong

teenager music that had already been completely explored and sublimated in a more mature form by Deftones (White Pony came out the same year btw)
>>
>>129862021
1) All music was teenage music one day, from the Doors/Pink Floyd to Black Sabbath, it was teens, not old geezers, who listened to that stuff. 2) Hybrid Theory sounds nothing like Deftones, or White Pony, and is in fact WAY better than either, Deftones is overrated, LP is getting a well-deserved critical re-evaluation now.

Not even top 5,000. Also, not music

>All music was teenage music one day, from the Doors/Pink Floyd to Black Sabbath, it was teens, not old geezers, who listened to that stuff
that's not what I mean as teenager music but rather the fact that their sound and themes are inherently immanent to teenage angst
doors, pink floyd and black sabbath easily trascend those theme and can be enjoyed by people that didn't grow up in the early 2000s
>Hybrid Theory sounds nothing like Deftones
yes that's the point, Deftones already trascended what was previously done by bands like Korn, Linkin Park didn't aside from adding some electronic flair to their composition
>Deftones is overrated
useless buzzword and irrelevant to the conversation

You're an ESL idiot, high on your own farts. 1) "transcend" on what grounds can you claim LP lyrics don't "transcend" ?, your dumb opinion ? not enough. "grew up in the early 2000s" dude, I know you're a shit-for-brains, but are you so dumb and out of touch, that you didn't notice LP is very popular with zoomers ? again you're full of shit and have no idea what you're talking about.

why do people act like graduation is some GOAT album?
am I just missing something?
>>
>>129861518
Syd Barrett was the most talented member of the band and Terrapin is a better song than anything on Ummagumma, More, Atom Heart Mother or Obscured by Clouds.
>>
>>129862801
lmao you're so mad
deftones blended nu-metal with new sounds and genres and their songwriting goes beyond the
>intro with some noise
>angry riff
>rapping
>chorus where Chester screams with loud guitars
>repeat
that Linkin Park do on almost every single one of their song. Linkin Park sound like the stereotype of nu-metal, one that was already overdone by that point. Also every normal human being associates CRAAAAAAAAWLING IN MY SKIIIIIIIIN with teenage angst

GOAT album, probably not but I think it's his best. For me it was the most creative out of his first three albums and the big stadium sounding production still sounds great, and gives good nostalgic vibes. MBDTF might be better produced but I appreciate the lack of pretentiousness on Graduation. It has the most songs I go back to as well (everything besides Drunk and Hot Girls, Big Brother, Good Night)
