What's wrong with her?
>>
How can one person have won so many awards and yet not have a single memorable song?
>>
She’s clearly autistic like Kanye.
>>
>>129865493
too based
>>
>>129865883
she's genuinely religious, unlike him, and saw the writing on the walls well before him.

many such cases

I mean she got cynical about industry bullshit. Unlike many, she stuck to it.

Didn't she lie about her biggest album being made solely by her and deny her collaborators their due until it was sued out of her?
>>
>>129865493
>releases one solo album
>quits
>cultural impact goes on for almost 30 years
How does she do it?
>>
>>129869320
Because she also has The Score
Two classic albums is enough for a long lasting legacy

It's hard to overstate how popular The Score was at the time. Pop radio stations that didn't play rap would play tracks from The Score. White girls singing along to Alanis Morissette would sing along to Fu-Gee-La. It broke through in a way that other rap albums, though popular, hadn't managed to do.
>>
>>129865861
That's an insane opinion.

I grew up in the 2000s and this track is completely forgettable aside from the beat and Lauryn's chorus being the only recognizable things.
>>
>>129871672
you expect people to sit down for a half an hour to try to reach the place where the tagline is discussed?
>>
>>129865861
i never even listened to her growing up but that song where she tells negroes to get their shit together and pull themselves up by their boot straps is pretty good and has a positive message unlike all other rap

The fact that she didn't write any of those songs and stole all the credit for them

only the one song which is mostly her singing killing me softly. so yeah, they stole a well known chorus from an easy listening song for their only big hit

She's an intelligence asset. So are pras and wyclef.
>>
>>129874861
Hill has been pretty outspoken about (((record label execs))) and their trained monkeys. Her mentioning Zion is like Martin Luther mentioning Zion, not apostate charismatics.
>>129874978
Laughable. I'll entertain any evidence you have.

Prakazrel "Pras" Michel, a member of the hip-hop group The Fugees, was sentenced to 14 years in prison in November 2025 for his role in a wide-ranging illegal foreign influence scheme.

Key details of the case include:
Illegal Foreign Contributions: Michel was convicted of 10 felony counts, including conspiracy and acting as an unregistered agent of a foreign government. He was found to have channeled millions of dollars from Malaysian fugitive Jho Low into Barack Obama's 2012 re-election campaign using "straw donors" to hide the source of the money.
Lobbying Schemes: Beyond the campaign contributions, Michel was involved in a lobbying campaign to persuade the U.S. government to drop an investigation into Jho Low, and another attempt to influence the U.S. to extradite a Chinese dissident at the behest of China.

Explain to me how Barrack Hussein Obama doesn't go to prison for this? I guess it pays to have a corrupt justice system

>let's ignore what makes this song instantly recognizable and memorable
what makes it instantly recognizable & memorable is the melody by enya and chorus from 'ready or not here i come' by the delfonics. just like their other song the only memorable part is the chorus when she sings killing me softly. the fugees never wrote a memorable song or melody they just stole, ie sampled, the memorable parts from other peoples songs
