if it is (it isn't) its the best coporate rock album of all time, they managed to make alternative rock and apply the guitar virtuosity of heavy metal and the melodic quality of alternative/indie along with the thick lushness of shoegaze all into one package that flooded the radio and thats what Siamese Dream is, that album is extremely cohesive whereas the follow up is much less cohesive but still managed to have good tunes in complete opposite directions, it had hooky radio rock world is a vampire, the most nostalgia alt rock song of all time 1979, and then all those soft boy indie adjacent enchanted tunes that make up a third of melancholy and those were well made to. Its dumbfounding that Adore was decent and then he basically lost it from then on, he must've needed the struggle to make the art. Some artists only get like 10 years of worthwhile art but then others (a lot of hardcore or metal type groups usually) will still kill it when they have a comeback decades later (listening to McClusky today thinking about that and Neurosis had a good new album too)
