I love Skylarking and Apple Venus Vol 1. What should I listen to next?

Oranges and Lemons prob. It's the next album after Skylarking, it's in the same style and has tons of good songs but it does suffer a bit from that Prince-sounding production... Listen to Garden of Earthly Delights off it

I kinda think Nonsuch would be a better rec than Oranges. I love both of them though, so no complaints.
Personally, I would recommend going waaaay back to Drums and Wires and just going chronologically from there, leaving their first two albums out to return to them after the whole discography. The way XTC were changed overtime is very interesting.

Also, god I fucking love Dave Gregory. Good lad.

Not sure why you'd rec that besides the Todd production connection, but yeah that's an incredibly based album
