Now that the dust has settled, what did you think?
>>

>*saves music on your path*
nothing personnel, kiddo..
>>
Not bad musically but you can't enjoy it without being called a redditor because of the gimmick
>>
>>129884961
The guitar work was cool but I felt like every single song had the same "slow buildup into epic riff in the last 2-3 minutes." Why did each song need time to get to the point? If it were once or even twice I wouldn't care but all six had a buildup period
>>
>>129884961
very based and childhood friends having fun, too? 10/10

of course they're getting so much attention hipsters are standing in line to hate them, and conspiracy retards are out in force lololol
inevitable i guess
>>
>>129884961
>>
>>129885043
im sure they will become better songwritters
>>
>>129885014
>caring what other people think
>>
>>129884961
unironically this year's best release so far
>>
>>129884961
Ok music, but is like those movies that you never feel like watching again. Their gimmick really carries them.
>>
>>129885014
>>129885458
>muh gimmick
just say you hate experimental rock
>>
>>129885497
Try listening to more than one experimental rock act anon
>>
>gimmick costume
>gimmick microtones
All I need to know they aren't worth listening to
>>
>>129884961
They should add a bassist and maybe second guitar, good stuff nonetheless
>>
Can you please stop posting this fucking band
>>
wanted to hate it because the glazing seems to mostly come from redditoids who have never listened to interesting music before but honestly the album isn't bad, like a 7.5 or 8/10 maybe
>>
>>129884961
>trust funds in your path
>>
>>129884961
they're pretty cool
>>
>>129884961
Reddit bullshit and thus gay. Very pretentious and thus very French and thus gay.
>>
I have enjoyed listening to the new album. I find the format limiting, and can only listen in small doses, but I do keep coming back. I hope they explore beyond the lock-step rhythmic style. It would be a nice contrast to have something more ethereal to break up a set. They are very skilled musicians, none the less.
>>
>>129884961
They're so hot right now!
>>
buy an ad

grim

>>129888356
it's bog standard quirky french canadian slop, quebec is too stunted to be pretentious

i think if they keep it up they will have a very interesting catalog of music but for now their sound is very limited. after two songs i need to give it a rest.

all of my music friends hate them with a passion which makes me like them slightly more.
>>
>>129884961
I'll stick to Clown Core.
>>
>bro check out this totally organic new stuff
just fucking nuke the music industry
if you spent money on music the last 20 years you deserve to die
>>
>>129888975
>all of my music friends hate them with a passion
why tho

Most Reddit album of the decade

Music for people who are uninteresting curmudgeons trying to be cool and interesting

Angine De Potrine played a secret, unannounced show at Quai des Bromes in Montreal the night before their headline set at Club Soda.

With a capacity of around 100, the room felt tight from the start.

This video captures moments from that night.

I've only listened to 3 of their songs so far but they sounded like some kind of parody band with an actual technical ability. Reminds me of Ultra Vomit in this regard (with a different style). I'd give their album a listen but I'm quite sure I wouldn't listen to them again afterwards.
>>
>>129884961
Maybe I’ll give it a listen in a couple of years. There is too much astroturfed mediocrity these days
>>
>>129891334
>>129888975
>>all of my music friends hate them with a passion
because they got very popular real fast, right?
or just because too many people like them now?
>>
Poor man's The Garden
>>
>>129884961
it's great, don't let the fact they're popular and memeable deter you from enjoying their music
>>
>>129895123
Who?
>>
>>129884961
I like it. the melody of Fabienk that starts around 01:31 hasn't let go of me. I wake up and hear it in my head. it's been some time since a band did that
>>
>>129888975
>my music friends hate them with a passion
interesting. drummer friend of mine loved them instantly and I'm a bassist and I also like them
>>
>>129893371
this is lousy
>>
>>129885043
It's because they're a looper based band, you have to start the song recording each guitar part to layer them and fill in the arrangement. Any performance that revolves around a looper has a similar cresendo. It's very limiting compositionally.
