This is what a 10/10 sounds like
>>129886406Half the time, maybe
>>129886406Alive > Discovery > Homework > Tron > Human After All > RAM
did not age well
>>129886572Lol no. It's not worse than Human After All
>>129886406Touch is their opus
>>129886653'Emotion' on HAA mogs everything on RAM
People didn’t like it at the time. There was a lot of cope about how “to go forward, they had to go backward”. It got new life from memes, honestly.
>best Fragments of Time >overrated Lose Yourself to Dance, Instant Crush >underrated Motherboard, The Game of Love >>129886666can't argue with those digits
like the legend of the penis
>>129887267I love Doin' It Right
Half of it is good, the other half is an instant skip as far as I'm concerned. Still, songs like "Game of love" or "Touch" are incredibly memorable IMO.
>>129886572I agree with this
the songs they sampled are literally the same 1:1 songs
It just became "hip" to hate it for no reason because it used to be absurdly popular in the 2010s. Complete sheep think in effect back then and now.
>>129888994I hate it because it was designed to appeal to normgroids and boomers with Disco Nostalgia, rather than just becoming popular because its actually that good
>>129888994not my Daft Punk, simple as
Instant crush is such a shit song holy shit. Rest of the album is good, discovery just fucking clears it the whole way through and is the only album of theirs i'd listen to again.
>>129888064WE WRAP A MEXICAN MONKEYWE WRAP A MEXICAN MONKEYWE WRAP A MEXICAN MONKEYWE WRAP A MEXICAN MONKEY
>>129886607I'm glad I'm not the only one.Had so much hype, because it was a comeback album. It's not a bad album, but it's a departure in direction from the previous records. The thing is mastered wonderfully. It's a great album to test new audio equipment.
>>129886406For me it's when saw them live in 2007
>>129886406I find it weird that discjockeys created this shit
>>129886406For me, it’s the closing track.
>>129886406It's not an 10/10 album but a 10/10 album would probably "sound" like it considering it's the peak of production and engineering
>>129891527>Instant crush is such a shit song holy shit.baffling opinion
>>129888994it has basically nothing of what made Daft Punk good and they're not the greatest band in the first place>>129889932this. Discovery had already achieved a modern take on 80's dance and pop music which was both intelligent and criticalRAM is just a boring revival of 80s slop and cheesy tunes
>>129886406this is what reddit normalfaggots listen to
>>129895903you must think about redditors a lot
>>129895946this was typed by redditor hands
>>129896011*ups your dose of meds*
Touch stealth best track
>>129896033damn, nothing but reddit cliches. maybe try ‘are the redditors in the room with us?’ next, you fucking faggot
>>129896060you sound mad
>>129886406op here wrong pic
>>129889932>Why does this house music sound like disco??Imagine being this retarded.
When it dropped it was really good.Didn't age well, but dance music doesn't.
>>129896810I'M VISIBLEI'M VISIBLEI'M VISIBLEI'M VISIBLE
>>129896878Fuck off retard RAM isnt house music
>>129886406It's funny because I didn't really 'get' what they were doing at the time. I was like "Oh sweet yeah, me 'n my homies love Daft Punk" and then enjoyed the tunes for the most part. With that context, it's a solid like 7.5/10 album. But over the years starting to understand about Nile Rodgers/Chic, how they were effectively trying to recreate the kind of disco-ish tunes they would have previously sampled for their classic hits... it's all pretty admirable and cool. Still nowhere near as good as their peak output from the late 90s or whatever, but it's a neat idea. Would have been even cooler though if they did all that, and then sampled themselves on entirely new dance tracks.
>>129897236THE PRESSURE OOOOFFF OOOOOOOPINIOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNS
>>129897257>he still doesn’t get it
>all these faggots filtered by the AOTY 2013
>>129888994>it used to be absurdly popular in the 2010sOnly 'Get Lucky' was absurdly popular on the radio et cetera, most people never heard anything else from the album.
My cope all the way until their breakup was, "Most of these songs just sound unfinished. I bet they'll sound great on the next Alive album." Didn't work out.
