Corporateslop disguised as heartfelt alternative rock.
>>129895709>heartfelt
>>129895507It's a great track. And it is why MCIS and SP were so special. It's the exact opposite of what they were supposed to be doing as an 'alternative rock' band. Openly ambitious and pretentious, twinkly bell synths, lush harmonies, shakespearian lyrics, a fucking spoken word poem in it. Bi-Corg was more 'punk' to be doing shit like this in the mid 90's than conforming to whatever lazy, safe indie/grunge mold his detractors were all stuck in and still are
>>129895709so corporate is when you put more effort and skill into something than the others?

I just wish he had one good album in his late years. I come back every new release and theyre always weak
>>129903508I believe pop artists should just pivot to more timeless subjects as they get older. You know, a requiem, a meditation, a theme with variations, perhaps soundtracks.
>>129895369I always end up crying when listening to this track when I'm drunk
